Pokémon Sapphire was the first video game I ever played when I was about 3 years old. I was so young when I first played it, that I had to ask my older brother to read all of the dialogue to me, since I couldn't read it myself! That fantastic soundtrack by Junichi Masuda, Go Ichinose and Morikazu Aoki, was so unbelievably foundational in my life and shaped my love for music to this day.

A few years ago, I discovered how much those classic sounds and samples they used in that soundtrack resonate with me, and I felt that I had to try my hand at composing something using those same sounds. Primarily inspired by the "Littleroot Town" theme, here's something I created to try and capture that nostalgia and magic.
